Kamala Harris Doesn’t Hold Back On CRITICIZING TRUMP During DNC Speech

In Vice Presidential nominee Kamala Harris’ acceptance speech in Chicago on Thursday night, plenty of it was spent criticizing former President Donald Trump.

In such a scenario, Harris said, the dangers would be “serious” as she outlined everything from abortion to border security. Harris seized the Democratic nomination without engaging in any early primary voting at all after Biden pulled out of the race shortly before Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, saying he wanted to give Harris a one-on-one rematch.

“Fellow Americans, this election is not only the most important of our lives, it is one of the most important in the life of our nation. In many ways, Donald Trump is an unserious man. But the consequences of putting Donald Trump back in the White House are extremely serious,” she said.

She called Trump’s first term a time of “chaos and calamity” and blasted his response to the January 6 riot, saying it was something that happened due in part of his not acting sooner.

“Donald Trump tried to throw away your votes,” she claimed. “When he failed, he sent an armed mob to the United States capitol where they assaulted law enforcement officers.”

In that speech on January 6​, Trump had called for his followers to protest the results of the contested 2020 election “peacefully.”

“Consider what he intends to do if we give him power again. Consider his explicit intent to set free violent extremists who assaulted those law enforcement officers at the capitol,” Harris said. “His explicit intent to jail journalists, political opponents, and anyone he sees as the enemy. His explicit intent to deploy our active duty military against our own citizens.”

The Biden-Harris administration has been criticized for going after pro-life protesters who were at peace with the law, securing years in prison. In her role as California’s attorney general, Harris also ordered a raid on the home of activist David Daleiden who exposed Planned Parenthood officials apparently discussing selling fetal body parts.

Harris also said that Trump’s position on a border bill proposed earlier this year, and opposed by many conservative Republicans. She pledged to “establish an earned path to citizenship and secure our border.”

On Truth Social, Trump addressed Harris’s speech and specifically took issue with her criticism of his border policies.

“The Border Bill is one of the worst ever written, would have allowed millions of people into our Country, and it’s only a political ploy by her! It legalizes Illegal Immigration, and is a TOTAL DISASTER, WEAK AND INEFFECTIVE! She doesn’t need a Bill,” he said. “As President, Crooked Joe and her could have just said, “CLOSE THE BORDER!” like I did – I didn’t have a Bill, I didn’t need a Bill. The Border Patrol respected me, they did their job. We had the Safest Border in Recorded History!”
