The Princess of Wales made consecutive appearances at remembrance events this weekend, attending both Saturday’s Festival of Remembrance and Sunday’s commemorative service.
For Sunday’s solemn occasion honoring fallen service members, Kate Middleton, 42, chose a sophisticated black Catherine Walker & Co coat dress featuring a velvet bow accent, adhering to traditional protocol.

Her ensemble included meaningful accessories – the customary poppy brooch and her frequently-worn Bahrain pearl drop earrings, which she’s showcased at four previous Remembrance events since 2016.
Through her attire choices, Middleton paid tribute to two significant royal figures – Princess Diana and Queen Elizabeth II. She selected a design from Diana’s preferred fashion house, Catherine Walker & Co, while wearing the Queen’s pearl pendant earrings, featuring intricate diamond details and Bahrain pearls.
The Palace confirmed on Friday that the royal, recently completing cancer treatment, would join Prince William and other family members for both weekend events.
Since her 2011 marriage to William, she’s maintained perfect attendance at Remembrance Day ceremonies at the Cenotaph monument in central London, typically selecting military-inspired black outerwear to honor service members’ sacrifices.
At last year’s ceremony, she commemorated Elizabeth by wearing rarely-seen pearl and diamond earrings. Following the Queen’s passing in September 2022, Middleton has frequently incorporated the late monarch’s pearl jewelry into her ensembles.
In 2021, she channeled Diana’s style by pairing the Collingwood Pearl Drop earrings with an oversized hat reminiscent of her mother-in-law’s 1992 look.
Her public engagements this year have included appearances at Wimbledon and Trooping the Colour during summer. Reports suggest she’s regaining her strength and has resumed her fitness routine.
