Ted Cruz Sounds Alarm On Illegal Immigration If Kamala Harris Is Elected President
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) has raised alarms this week, claiming that a win by Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming presidential election would lead to a surge of terrorists entering the country through the southern border.
Cruz’s remarks came during his “Verdict” podcast, co-hosted by Ben Ferguson, where they discussed the explosive testimony from retired San Diego Border Patrol Chief Aaron Heitke. Heitke’s testimony, delivered to the Homeland Security Committee, shed light on the alarming increase in encounters with terrorist suspects at the U.S.-Mexico border.
“In San Diego, we had an exponential increase in significant interest aliens,” Heitke stated. “These are aliens with significant ties to terrorism. Prior to this administration, the San Diego sector averaged 10 to 15 SIA [Significant Interest Alien] arrests per year. Once word was out the border was far easier to cross, San Diego went to over 100 SIAs in 2022, well over that in 2023, and even more than that registered this year. These are only the ones we caught.”
Heitke further revealed that at the time, “I was told I could not release any information on this increase in SIAs or mention any of the arrests. The [Biden-Harris] administration was trying to convince the public there was no threat at the border.”
Cruz echoed Heitke’s concerns, calling the increase in illegal alien terrorist suspects “massive.”
“This is what Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have done,” Cruz said. “You look at each of the facts, you look at suspected terrorists. And this is just in one sector, in the San Diego sector, that it went from about 10 to over 100 a year. That is massive. That means hundreds and hundreds of suspected terrorists coming in just one sector, and those are the ones they caught. It doesn’t count the ones they didn’t catch. He wasn’t allowed to say that publicly.”
The Texas senator also accused the Biden administration of putting politics before national security, saying, “It’s all politics all the time.”
Cruz criticized the media’s handling of the border crisis, saying, “I get why the Biden White House didn’t want people to know it, but we now have this testimony in the House of Representatives. How is it that it’s not on the front page of the Houston Chronicle tomorrow?”
Cruz wrapped up his concerns by urging Americans to stay vigilant, warning that if Kamala Harris becomes president, “More terrorists will enter the country… More terror, more murders, more rapists, more child molesters, more Americans will die if Kamala Harris is president.”
His remarks have sparked ongoing debates over the U.S. border crisis and its national security implications, with strong reactions expected as the presidential race heats up.
