Biden’s Are Facing HEAVY CRITICISM As First Lady Jill Biden Appears At Cabinet Meeting
On September 20, 2024, First Lady Jill Biden met with the first White House cabinet meeting in nearly a year immediately after which she got blasted. The gathering, led by President Joe Biden, was her first in this role under his administration.
“Here and across previous administrations, first ladies have attended these meetings for specific reasons,” he said. “This is the first time Jill has joined us, and it goes to show how important the issue is, which she is about to speak to.”
“It’s all yours, kid,” he said in passing the torch off to his wife.
The First Lady’s involvement in the initiative was met with mixed reviews on social media, despite how important the cause is.
Former Fox News host Andrea Tantaros posted on X: “I’m unsure which part is more disturbing. 1. That the White House held its first Cabinet meeting in a year; or… 2. Jill Biden is leading the first White House Cabinet meeting in a year.”
“She cannot lead a presidential Cabinet meeting,” she added. “She doesn’t hold a Security Clearance.”
Conservative commentator Mary Katharine Ham responded matter-of-factly to the news that the First Lady of The United States was invading other peoples’ offices and space in the West Wing by posting an ostensibly critical tweet.
“Oh neat, an unelected person married to the mostly incapacitated elected president is overseeing the first Cabinet meeting in forever. Does anyone have any questions about this?”
Columnist Marc Thiessen went even further, comparing Jill Biden to Edith Wilson, the wife who intervened in her husband Woodrow Wilson’s presidency during his stroke. “She’s officially Edith Wilson. She is not elected, has no official position, is not even a government employee. WTH is she doing running a cabinet meeting?”
Representative Mike Waltz (R-FL) chimed in, asking, “Who is running the country?”
