Remember the Hollywood celebrities who promised to leave the country if Donald Trump won the presidency and returned to the White House? Well, it seems their words were nothing more than empty threats.
Among those who made such declarations were Bruce Springsteen, Cher, Samuel L. Jackson, Whoopi Goldberg, George Lopez, Miley Cyrus, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, Amy Schumer, and Lena Dunham. Even Barbra Streisand talked about relocating to Australia or Canada.

Yet, not a single one of them followed through on their promises.

Cher, for instance, had claimed that Trump’s 2016 election victory nearly gave her an ulcer.
Sharon Stone is another celebrity who recently expressed her intention to move to Europe if Trump wins in November. America Ferrera has made similar statements.
One enthusiastic individual claims to have developed an app to track which celebrities have actually kept their word.
Others are content with publicly calling out these Hollywood figures, particularly after the New York Post published a list of those who had solemnly promised to leave the U.S. if Trump won.
Some social media users are using this opportunity to highlight what they perceive as Hollywood’s hypocrisy and lack of follow-through.
It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time such promises have been made. Hollywood elites also vowed to leave the U.S. if then-candidate Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election.
