Charlamagne Tha God Drops Trump Truth

On Tuesday, Charlamagne Tha God maintained that the recent interview between former President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk highlights why many Americans connect with Trump’s message.

During the Monday interview, Trump and Musk covered a variety of issues, such as the economy and illegal immigration. Speaking on “The Breakfast Club,” Charlamagne pointed out that these are the subjects Americans “care about,” adding that Trump’s focus on these issues is why he “resonates with so many people.”

“I heard them talk about the border extensively, and I heard them talk about the economy extensively. And that is why Trump resonates with so many people because he’s speaking to the issues,” Charlamagne said. “And those are the two major issues — folks don’t care about all the other stuff as long as what they care about is being addressed. People want to know how they’re going to have more money in their pocket and how they’re going to feel safe.”

Charlamagne emphasized that “everybody cares about” these issues, responding to co-host DJ Envy’s comment that only Trump’s “base cares about” them.

“When you’re having a conversation and you’re talking about light bills being lower, and you’re talking about groceries being lower, border control, that’s what everybody cares about,” he said. “That’s not just his base.”

Recent polling by The New York Times and Siena College shows that Trump continues to hold the trust of voters over Vice President Kamala Harris when it comes to handling immigration and economic matters.

On Monday, pollster Frank Luntz pointed out that Trump’s advantage over Harris on these key issues gives him a strong chance of defeating her. However, Luntz also emphasized that the former president needs to tone down his “angry” communication style to secure that position.

“I still think he has a reasonable chance of winning, because in the end, the issue agenda favors him,” Luntz said. “But not if you’re so angry that you’ve stopped reflecting the people you’re trying to reach.”
