Donald Trump Vouches To Fix U.S. Border – Details Illegal Immigrant Crimes In Recent Rally
During a rally in Montana on Friday night, former President Donald Trump mourned the loss of 42-year-old Matt Carney, a restaurant owner from Nashville who was shot by 29-year old Ilises Martinez.
Martinez’s immigration status was first reported last month by The Daily Wire, which included the response of ICE that he entered the country at an undetermined date and place.
In a speech tonight in Missouri, Trump went through a list of violent crimes committed by illegal immigrants over the last few months and an example was Carney’s death.
“They’re coming from prisons, they’re coming from jails, they’re coming from all over the place,” Trump said Friday during his rally in Bozeman. “Every day, Kamala is letting migrant criminals roam free to assault, rape, mutilate, and kill our citizens.”
“Look at what’s happening to our cities. Our cities are being overrun,” Trump said. “On July 4th, a 42-year-old Nashville man died after he tried to stop an illegal alien from stealing tools out of his truck. The illegal alien did a number on this man that nobody could even believe. The police officers said one of the most vicious crimes they’ve ever seen.”
“He was thrown from the hood of the illegal’s pickup truck and left to die in the street after being beat to hell,” Trump said.
Carney was shot in the parking lot of his upscale Nashville restaurant, Smokin Thighs, on June 19 after trying to stop Martinez and a second illegal immigrant from stealing tools out of his truck, police reports say Carney later died of his injuries on July 4.
Martinez had been arrested in March after officers saw him driving a stolen vehicle and stealing tools from parked cars but was free on bail while awaiting trial for the prior incident when he allegedly struck Mosely. But a Nashville judge dismissed the charges after ruling prosecutors had failed to prove probable cause.
Martinez is being held in Davidson County Jail on several offenses, including criminal homicide, and his next court appearance has been set for August 27th.
Trump also spoke about other victims of crimes allegedly committed by illegal immigrants and said he would carry out a “massive Trump deportation” if put in power.
Trump has repeatedly made immigration a key element of his possible 2024 campaign, frequently assailing Harris over her position as Joe Biden’s “czar” in charge of the border.
