Jon Stewart REVEALS UTTER Hypocrisy Of Democratic National Convention
Jon Stewart calls the Democrats out in sharp-tongued style over what he considered to be hypocrisy during this week’s Democratic National Convention (DNC).
Stewart delivered his remarks during Thursday night’s episode of “The Daily Show” on Comedy Central, the day after he wrapped up coverage.
“At their convention, they had union leaders and C.E.O.s. They had Democratic Party icons and lifelong Republicans,” he said. “They had a guy yelling, ‘Screw the billionaires!’ followed immediately by a very happy billionaire.”
It was a dig at comments earlier in the show from Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, who are all Democrats —and billionaires for that matter as well— so he said what the contrast between those remarks were which would move decision making along to get further relief accomplished.
“It’s all okay if it’s our billionaire,” Stewart mockingly said of the Democrats. “I don’t like billionaires, but he’s all right.”
Stewart also took aim at Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D) for lambasting Senator JD Vance (R-OH), by expressing support from a Republican who has attended Yale, only to feature several Democrats with Yale pedigrees as speakers including former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, Senator Cory Booker(D-NJ), Senator Chris Coons (D-DE), and more.
“The Democrats had people who prosecuted sexual predators,” Steward said, showing a photo of Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris.
“And, eh–,” he continued, posting a photo of former President Bill Clinton, who has been accused by multiple women of sexual crimes.
