Key Details Emerge In Ongoing Assassination Case Against Trump – ONE DEAD
At least one person was killed on Saturday in an assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump during a political rally in Pennsylvania. The purported gunman was additionally “neutralized,” the U.S. Secret Service said.
A statement by the U.S. Secret Service said, “a suspected shooter fired multiple shots toward the stage from an elevated position outside of the rally venue.”
The statement read: “US Secret Service personnel neutralized the shooter, who is now deceased,” the statement said. “US Secret Service quickly responded with protective measures and the former president is safe and being evaluated. One spectator was killed, two spectators were critically injured. The incident is currently under investigation and the Secret Service has formally notified the Federal Bureau of investigation.”
“I heard the shots. I thought it was firecrackers to begin with,” said one witness.
The doctor said that people were screaming “He’s been shot. He’s been shot.”
One surgeon described his frantic efforts to try and save one of the casualties: “I said, I’m an emergency department physician. Let me help you. The guy had spun around was jammed between the benches. He had a headshot here. There’s lots of blood and he had brain matter.”
Another man, who identified himself as Joseph, said one of the spectators had been shot and killed on site from what he could tell.
