Miley Cyrus recently opened up about the generational differences between herself and her boyfriend Maxx Morando, despite their mere six-year age gap.

“He grew up with a laptop [and] I had a desktop computer that I shared with my brothers and sisters,” the “Hannah Montana” alum, who turns 32 on Nov. 23, revealed in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar.

“Honestly, he’s raised our dog off Reddit,” she shared. “I’m like, ‘Are you sure we’re supposed to be doing this?’ And he’s like, ‘On Reddit it says blah, blah, blah.'”

Despite belonging to different generations – she’s a millennial while her 26-year-old partner is Gen Z – the couple finds common ground in sharing memes and maintaining a light-hearted approach to life.

They share similar music tastes, including what some might consider unconventional choices like Train’s “Drops of Jupiter” from 2001, and are collaborating on Cyrus’s upcoming album, “Something Beautiful.”

The partnership feels natural for Cyrus, who has a history of mixing personal relationships with professional endeavors, including her previous work with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, and her former husband, Liam Hemsworth, whom she was married to from 2018 to 2020.

Their relationship, which reportedly began in 2021 through a blind date, remains largely private, though Morando has shown public support for Cyrus’s achievements, including her Grammy win for best pop solo performance earlier this year.

The couple’s relationship has progressed significantly, with reports indicating they’ve moved in together and are thriving in their partnership. Their most recent public appearance was at a Future Islands concert in Los Angeles this September.
