Although American Airlines later confirmed the threat was unfounded, safety protocols at Indira Gandhi International Airport required a thorough inspection of the aircraft. Upon landing in Rome, security personnel conducted a comprehensive check and cleared the plane for future travel.
The airline announced the flight would remain overnight in Rome to ensure proper crew rest before continuing its journey to Delhi the following day. They emphasized their commitment to passenger safety and expressed gratitude for customers’ patience during the delay.
