In its official communication to Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, NAPO urged the Senate to expedite Noem’s confirmation, expressing confidence in her ability to bring justice back to America.
This influential organization, which represents more than 1,000 police units and associations, encompasses 241,000 law enforcement officers nationwide.
“There are many reasons why NAPO endorsed President Trump in the last election but foremost is the state of law and order in our great nation. America faces a criminal justice crisis, criminal aliens, and gangs like Tren de Aragua have entered our country illegally and have committed terrible crimes against our citizens,” the letter, obtained by the Daily Caller, reads.
“NAPO supports President Trump’s nomination of Kristi Noem for Secretary of Homeland Security. Governor Noem has a proven record of supporting the men and women of law enforcement and making the rule of law a priority,” the letter continues.

Following the National Fraternal Order of Police’s endorsement, NAPO’s backing marks another significant show of support for Noem’s nomination.
An insider familiar with NAPO’s endorsement decision informed the Caller that this endorsement joins a growing list of law enforcement organizations supporting Noem.
If confirmed, Noem will oversee crucial agencies including ICE, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and CBP, aligning with Trump’s campaign focus on enhanced border security and immigration control.
During her congressional tenure, Noem supported Trump’s refugee restrictions from terrorism-linked countries. As governor, she pledged to block Biden-Harris administration refugees from entering South Dakota and offered to provide razor wire to Texas for border security.
Trump’s border security team is taking shape with additional appointments, including Tom Homan as border czar, Stephen Miller as deputy chief of staff for policy, Caleb Vitello as ICE director, and Rodney Scott leading CBP.
