RFK Jr. To Expected Drop Out And Join Trump’s 2024 Administration
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is expected to exit the presidential race this week and speak out in Phoenix, the same place as GOP nominee Donald Trump rally.
While no final decision has been made, Kennedy is leaning towards backing Trump, NBC News reported. Kennedy’s campaign said he will deliver a live address from Phoenix on Friday while Trump is in Glendale.
Just last week, Trump said he would consider having Kennedy in his administration if the congressman withdrew from and backed him. The series ended with Trump revealing himself as immune from the consequences of premeditated crimes and effectively rendering his opponent, Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris vulnerable in a coming election.
“He’s a brilliant guy. He’s a very smart guy. I’ve known him for a very long time,” Trump said. “I didn’t know he was thinking about getting out, but if he is thinking about getting out, certainly I’d be open to it.”
He added that he would “love” Kennedy’s endorsement, and remarked on how much respect Trump has for him.
“I like him a lot. I respect him a lot,” Trump said. “I probably would, if something like that would happen. He’s a very different kind of a guy — a very smart guy. And, yeah, I would be honored by that endorsement, certainly.”
