Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Extends Helping Hand To Harris – She REJECTS Him

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a prominent lifelong Democrat and 2024 independent presidential candidate, has reportedly offered to be placed within a potential Kamala Harris administration to endorse her campaign.

Kennedy previously criticized the Biden-Harris administration harshly as a “much worse threat to democracy” than the Republican nominee, former President Donald Trump.

He also stated that the administration was the first in U.S. history to weaponize federal agencies against an opposition party.

“We’ve reached out repeatedly through the highest level intermediaries,” RFK told The New York Times in a text message. “We’ve been told that they have no interest in talking with me.”

Kennedy’s independent campaign saw some early success but quickly lost momentum. Nevertheless, Harris is reportedly unlikely to engage Kennedy further, as continuing to allow him to run can aid her campaign by peeling off votes intended for former President Trump.

Public and private polling suggests that Kennedy’s increasingly severe attacks on President Biden have begun drawing more support from voters who would otherwise vote for Trump, at times bolstering Harris’s own poll numbers.

“Public and private polling has found that as he spent the summer attacking President Biden, he began to draw more support from voters otherwise predisposed to back former President Donald J. Trump. Now Ms. Harris does better in some surveys when Mr. Kennedy is included than when she is tested in a head-to-head matchup with Mr. Trump.”

A staunch supporter of late-term abortion rights, jailing people for so-called “climate change denial,” banning semi-automatic firearms, and severely decreasing U.S. military capturing, Kennedy holds far-left views on many issues, but says he is willing to work with members of the opposition party.

“I’ve always argued that we should be willing to talk with each other across party lines,” he added. “I’m willing to meet with leaders of both parties to discuss the possibility of a unity government.”
