U.S. Marines Assault REVEALED In Western Turkey By LEFTIST Nationalists

A group of leftist Turkish nationalists assaulted two U.S. Marines in the western city of Izmir on Monday.

The incident happened while the Marines, from the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp were wearing civilian clothing. 

The Youth Union of Turkey, a student organization in the country that opposes America according to Fox News. 

Five more marines intervened to keep the attack from continuing, but Turkish legal authorities arrived in time and arrested 15 of the assailants. 

Videos shared online by the Youth Union of Turkey showed some members being surrounded by demonstrators; more than one Marine had been held down.

Neither of the two Marines were injured in the attack, according to a U.S. military statement. 

“We can confirm reports that U.S. service members were the targets of an armed attack in #İzmir, today and are all unharmed,” said a tweet from the official Twitter account withU.S Embassy Turkey. “We are grateful to the Turkish authorities for their prompt response and continuous investigation.”

The website obtained a statement from the Youth Union of Turkey, defending what it described as “patriotic youth pouring out on to Istanbul streets,” Turkilyeri also said.

The USS Wasp was sent to the Mediterranean Sea last month as part of a Biden administration effort to prevent more Iran-related violence in the Middle East. It brought warplanes and ships within closer reach of its ally Israel in the fight against Hamas, as well as continued threats from Iran.
