Donald Trump Jr. Seeks ‘Fighter’ As VP

Donald Trump Jr. called for his father, former President Donald Trump to choose a tireless advocate for him for the November election as vice president. The former president’s son’s comments come amid rife speculation regarding who Trump may choose as his running mate.

“What I want in that role is I want a fighter,” he said. “I understand what they are going to throw at us.”

Trump Jr. cited the “vicious nature of the swamp and the insanity we see on a daily basis.”

The former president’s son is reportedly recommending some potential candidates such as Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.

The former president is reportedly considering a number of potential candidates to run with him. He has ruled out some potential candidates, including former Vice President Mike Pence. Pence announced earlier this month that he would not be supporting Trump in November.

Trump has spoken highly regarding Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), who briefly ran a campaign for the White House last year. The former president said that he liked Scott’s advocacy for him, arguing that the senator fought harder for Trump than he did for himself.

The former president has also complimented Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), who emerged as one of his most tireless backers in the House.

There have been a number of other potential candidates, including South Carolina Gov. Kristi Noem (R). Former First Lady Melania Trump reportedly favored former Fox News host Tucker Carlson as a potential running mate. Donald Trump Jr. also mentioned Carlson as a potential choice.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) has also been floated as a potential running mate, despite the fact that Rubio and Trump ran against each other for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination.

Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) told Donald Trump that she would take the position if offered.

The former president has said that he has made the decision already, but was not ready to make the announcement yet.
