Trump Campaign Says SC Primary ‘End’ For Haley

The campaign of former President Donald Trump said in a recent statement that the upcoming South Carolina primary would be the end of former state Gov. Nikki Haley (R) in her bid for the Republican nomination. The statement came amid multiple polls that showed the former president with a significant lead over Haley.

Trump campaign advisers Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles wrote in a memo that the “End Is Near For Nikki Haley.”

The Trump campaign said that “like any wailing loser hell-bent on an alternative reality and refusing to come to grips with her imminent political mortality, we should expect more references to Kings and Coronations.”

LaCivita and Wiles also wrote that Haley’s recent statements “overwhelmingly sent an unmistaken message: Nikki Haley doesn’t represent Republicans any more than Joe Biden does.”

Trump currently leads by a wide margin in every South Carolina primary poll. The smallest lead in two recent polls has Trump up by 22% in the state Haley was governor of while the largest has Trump ahead by 29%.

Despite the likelihood of losing the South Carolina primary, Haley said that she would stay in the Republican race.

The former president has won every Republican nominating contest he has participated in so far. The only contest he did not win was the Nevada primary, which he was not on the ballot for. In that contest, Haley lost to the option of none of the above.

Trump wrote on social media that Haley, who he called “Birdbrain,” was “very bad for the Republican Party and, indeed, our Country. Her False Statements, Derogatory Comments and Humiliating Public Loss, is demeaning to True American Patriots.”

The former president wrote that “she was average at best, is not the one to take on World Leaders, and she never did. That was up to me, and that is why they respected the United States. When I ran for Office and won, I noticed that the losing Candidate’s “Donors” would immediately come to me, and want to “help out.” This is standard in Politics, but no longer with me.”
