Trump Endorses Bud Light’s Parent Company

Former President Donald Trump praised the beer giant Anheuser-Busch, which produces Bud Light following almost a year of boycotts against the beverage. The former president’s post on social media appeared to come out of the blue and argued that Anheuser-Busch, owned by a Dutch company, was a conservative brand.

The former president wrote on Truth Social Wednesday that the ad featuring transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney “was a mistake of epic proportions, and for that, a very big price was paid, but Anheuser-Busch is not a Woke company, but I can give you plenty that are, am building a list, and might just release it for the World to see.”

He said that the beer giant “spends $700 Million a year with our GREAT Farmers, employ 65 thousand Americans, of which 1,500 are Veterans and is a Founding Corporate Partner of Folds of Honor, which provides Scholarships for families of fallen Servicemen & Women.”

He further said that Anheuser-Busch had raised more than $30 million and given 44,000 Scholarships. He then wrote that Bud Light’s parent company is a “Great American Brand that perhaps deserves a Second Chance?”

He then wrote that perhaps the country should “be going after those companies that are looking to DESTROY AMERICA!”

However, the former president followed his original Truth Social post with another criticizing the Mulvaney ad.

He wrote that the ad would “go down as the WORST AD in history.”

“In a matter of minutes, 30 Billion Dollars worth of Market Cap simply disappeared from the face of the earth,” wrote Trump. “Will they ever get it back? Who knows, but what a mess!!!”

The former president’s comments came after his son Eric Trump said last year that conservatives should end the boycott of the beverage.

Following the Mulvaney promotion, the sales of the beverage fell by about a third. The resulting fall led Bud Light to lose its position as the highest-selling beer brand in the country, which was then taken by Modelo Especial.

Bud Light attempted a number of new promotional and advertising efforts to regain its former position, all of which appear unsuccessful so far.
